Relating biodiversity pumps with eco-climatic variation
For revealing the connection between biodiversity and eco-climatic stability a ground-breaking study was carried out by correlating age grouping of bird DNA with 10 years of daily NOAA AVHRR data covering Africa. The preliminary result showed a clear relation between evolution of young species and recent eco-climatic variability, the result is used for identifying new sites for biodiversity research. The study was made in co-operation with Danish Centre of Biodiversity and EU - JRC, Ispra.
