Decision Support to Hydrological Management in Peat Swamp Forests

For UNDP we established databases linked up with GIS to monitor hydrological

conditions in peat swap forest. The monitoring should be used for decision support

to management and ecompassed mult-disiplinary monitoring points. We included

three main hydrological thems: Groundwater, Rivers and Openwater from where

relevant indicator values could be displayed in a GIS toghether with other

relevant layers such as land use changes, population change etc.
