Setting up GIS for modeling run-off from watersheds in Malaysia
In Maliau Basin, Borneo, we established a GIS for calculation of run-off. We established a DEM from where we calculated watershed areas. We produced a vegetation map from Landsat data that should be used together with climatic data and the DEM to calculate evatranspriation. We established models to calculate run-off in a given place as well as accumulated from single watershed and the whole basin area.
