BotaNICAL MAPPING OF Afro-Montane VEGETION IN SOUTHERN SUDAN

 

 

 

 

A satellite image analysis carried out in connection with the most comprehensive Botanical study of the vegetation in Southern Sudan and Northern Uganda - East of the Nile.

 

The satellite analysis was initiated in 1994 and used multivariable statistical enhancement analysis and segmentation of historical Landsat MSS data. The image analysis established 12 plant communities - primary afro-montane forest types.
