  BotaNICAL MAPPING OF The  Mountain VEGETION IN SOUTHERN SUDAN

 

       

A satellite image analysis carryed out in connection with the most comprensive Botanical study of the vegetation

in southern Sudan and Northern Uganda - east of the Nile.

 

The satellite analysis was initiated in 1994 and used multivariable statistical enhancement analysis and segmentation

of historical Landsat MSS data. The image analysis established 12 plant communities primary of mountain forest

types.
