Natural Resource Management

As an integrated part of natural resource management satellite images

and GIS are very effective tools to provide information on resources and

utilization - in fact - often revealing the causal relationship between resource

use and degradation.

We have provided decision support to various big projects by presenting

all needed information on resources such as vegetation, biodiversity

distribution, resource degradation and utilization. We have developed

ground-breaking approaches to assess biodiversity and monitoring

resource utilisation which have provided direct information for

local as well as regional management.
