SUPPORT TO DISCOVERY OF COASTAL FOREST IN NORTHERN MOZAMBIQUE
Based upon our
specialist knowledge on East African Coastal Forest we produced map to guide
botanists in the field to
trace up the remaining and
richest
coastal forests
in the Cabo Delgado region of Northern Mozambique.
Botanist where provided with Landsat based natural and false colour maps in a
scale of 1:250.000. The false colour maps were enhanced to reveal maximum
structural and species differences in the coastal forest, natural colours were
used to separate developed closed forest from other woody vegetation.
